In anticipation of the author's book signing in St. Augustine (June 30, 2013), I bought two copies. One for her to sign for my library and one to give to a friend to encourage them to write. Created during "stolen moments", Kimmy's written words are an inspiration to any man, woman, or teen who ever dreamed of having a book published. She is both proof and an example that we can all write, but we need to make the time. A mother of eleven? A worker? A musician and a graphic artist? How does she find the time to write? The point is somehow she does find the time to write, and the reader is the one who benefits. Simply put, I love the way Kimmy Van Kooten plays with the English language and the way she pieces together her peaceful words. She is a unique talent who stands out in a garden of mediocrity and invasive weeds.Product details

Peace of Language Kimmy Van Kooten 9781484836262 Books Reviews
One of the BEST book of poems I have EVER come across!! The way the author helps illustrate nature, family, love, commitment....just with her words (and sometimes with her STUNNING and detailed imagery) helps bring together a culmination of emotion, heart, and feelings. WORTH THE READ!!
An artist of many media, and a mother of ELEVEN, Van Kooten will escort you through her personal evolving garden of poetry and visual art with her surreal garden gloves on and her sunbonnet off! Put on your shades, the light may dazzle you...
I thoroughly enjoyed reading “ Peace of Language", what made it refreshing and fun to read was Kimmy's play on words, Such uniqueness of spirit. I certainly enjoyed the beautiful artwork as well, I would love to see some of this art up for sale someday soon. Thank you
Kimmy presents us with a wonderfully lusty party of words in this latest collection of poems wed to some inspired images. With this collection we gain a wonderful view of the lush fertile creative mind of a very fecund artist. If you love language and plays on words that appeal to every sense, this is the collection for you!!!! Read on McDuff.....
