Adult "I like it" rating for a 12-year old who has reread it four times. I treasured reading it when I was his age and am very happy he is feeling the same ... I even read it cover-to-cover when he put it down in between. He would definitely rate it "I love it" if he responded himself. Great comic book!!

I have a 13yr. old nephew and a 16 yr. old son and both have enjoyed these books absolutely. They laugh for hours about the humor and still talk about it for days after they have read it. It does seem to appeal to boys more than girls however. Very humorful and enjoyable.
Big fan of Asterix and Obelix,
Fun to read, kids know the story by heart now. The translation from french is not too bad, though the jokes and plays on words had to change for the english version.

The comics always arrived in perfect conditions and in the due time.
Some things in blighty never change the pubs, the fanatical following of bands and teams; the rows of identical housing; the stiff upper lip. All these tendencies are lightly mocked in this action-packed adventure. The satire coupled with the wonderful illustrations effectively capture the essence and atmosphere of Britain. Its fun, although the humour is a little bit tamer than some of the other books.
Asterix and Obelix travel to Britain with Asterix's British cousin to help the last British village holding-out against the invading Romans. The trouble starts when their barrel of magic potion is stolen. This is a fine Asterix adventure with lots of humor and action. If you don't mind plenty of cartoon violence (bashing about where no-one is hurt for long) and you enjoy terrible punning -- especially with Latin references -- Asterix may be your man. These are fun adventures for kids and adults. I've enjoyed them since I was about 10 -- and I'm now 43!
